Delia's Candies began business in 2004 making candy skulls, which are candy confections for the Day of the Dead. It is a Hispanic day in observance in Mexico on November1st. Many schools in her area began to approach her as a way of teaching students about cultural traditions through her confections.
The following year, Delia's introduced Sweet Tamales, a very popular and well known dessert in Mexico. It consists of a mixture of fresh ground corn dough mixed with fruit and sugar and is then wrapped in corn husks to maintain the original flavor and authenticity of the product. Delia handmakes these traditional delights which are available year round. |
