About Us

In 2004, Delia began her business by making candy sugar skulls for the festive day, The Day of the Dead, observed in Mexico on November 1st. She began to make these when approached by Omaha schools wanting to understand one of many Hispanic cultures and traditions. Delia's continues to make these special confections in Omaha and the surrounding communities.

In 2005, Delia introduced sweet tamales, an authentic hand made traditional delight considered by Mexican people to be one of their most beloved traditional foods dating back to the Aztecs, the Mayans, and the Incas.

Sweet Tamales, coming in next to the well known spicy meat tamale, gave Delia the idea to turn a trend into a mainstream snack and change people's thoughts that tamales can be sweet too! Today tamales are consumed as comfort food.

Sweet Tamales

Our signature product consists of fresh grounded corn mixed with brown sugar, all natural fruit and spices and then is wrapped in cornhusks to maintain its flavor and authenticity. They are then steamed until cooked, and then frozen to preserve the freshness of the product for your enjoyment.

To maintain its genuine flavor, no artificial colors or perservatives are used in our quality products.

Delia's continues to introduce Sweet Tamales to the market place for you to enjoy... more news coming soon!
